End of year letter from the Principal June 2018
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we come to the end of our third year at Bostonia Language Academy, it is a good time to
reflect on what we have achieved, update you with some important information, and look
forward to an even more successful 2018/2019 school year! First, allow me to begin by sending
you a THANK YOU for your continued support for our school. I applaud your effort and interest
for working in partnership with us to ensure that your children have a wonderful learning
experience.
Our School Vision, Mission and Guiding Principles continue to lead our work to fully develop all
students as Scholars, Citizens, Innovators and Creators. This work demands high expectations
from our teachers, support staff, parents, and students. These high expectations are producing
positive results. Below are some of the key achievements of this year, however there are many
more!
Our school earned the California Distinguished School Award!
This year we engaged with the American International Academy to enrich the
multicultural aspect of our program. This association brought us an opportunity to host
exchange students from China and to be part of a conference for Chinese Principals.
We provided our first Lego League Jr. experience and won the two awards that are
available for participating in this fun learning event.
Our school received First LEGO League Jr. Foundation Grant to be utilized during the
2018-2019 school year!
The promotion of our first 5th grade class to middle school!
The Bostonia Language Academy family is united by a passion and commitment to our
students. Our commitment to the multilingualism and multiliteracy creates a diverse and
dynamic environment that encourages student voice and empowering opportunities to engage
in academic learning.
