NATURAL GAS CORPORATION TRANSFER
OF FUNCTIONS
An Act to repeal the Natural Gas Corporation Act and make 1982-x
provisionjbr certain matters consequent on the repeal.

1. This Act may be cited as the
Natural Gas Corporation Trans-

2. The functions, assets and liabilities of the Natural Gas Cor-

poration established by section 3 of the
Natural Gas Corporation Tifiyd
Act
are, as from 1st April, 1982, transferred to and vested in the Gas oar-
National Petroleum Corporation established by section 3 of the poration.

3. With effect from 1st April, 1982, all persons comprising the staff.
staff of the Natural Gas Corporation shall be deemed merged
with the staff of the National Petroleum Corporation, so however,
that
(a)
their employment in the service of the Natural Gas Corpora-
tion shall, for all purposes, be deemed to have been
continuous employment in the service of the National
Petroleum Corporation, and
(b) their terms and conditions of service in the employment of
the National Petroleum Corporation shall be no less
favourable than they were in the employment of the
Natural Gas Corporation.
4. References in any enactment to the Natural Gas Corporation CO=-
shall be construed as being a reference to the National quential*
Petroleum Corporation.
