UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS PROFILE
FALL 2021 REGULARLY ADMITTED STUDENTS
Rutgers University welcomes applications from students who demonstrate preparedness for our academic programs. The number of students we admit is determined by the number of
spaces available in each entering class, the number of students who apply, and the quality of the applicant pool. These factors change from year to year and vary with each Rutgers school.
The charts indicate the SAT and ACT score ranges and grade-point averages for the middle 50% of high school students admitted to Rutgers for fall 2021. However, given the uncertainty
of future test dates and availability of standardized tests, Rutgers University–New Brunswick and Rutgers University–Camden have made submission of SAT and ACT test scores
optional. Rutgers University–Newark has made SAT and ACT test scores not required for students applying for spring or fall 2022 admission. If students are unable to submit a test
score, or choose not to, they will still receive full admission consideration. We conduct a holistic review of each student’s application that takes into consideration many more factors than
test scores and cumulative grade-point averages. Students who want to submit a standardized test score with their application for 2022 admission may still do so. For more information
on our test optional policy, please visit admissions.rutgers.edu/testoptional.
These are approximate midranges based on submitted scores, as Rutgers-Camden and Rutgers–New Brunswick are SAT and ACT test optional. Test scores are not required for admission at Rutgers–Newark.
